random courier font 1

I have just completed a 65 page booklet in PageMaker 7. On reading though it I have found several instances where the times New Roman font has been replaced by Courier. Sometimes it is only one letter at the beginning of a line, sometimes few words or even half a line. What causes this and how can I get rid of it? Any suggrestions would be most welcome.

Could be a number of reasons, but first answer the following:

What was the source of the text? Typed directly into PM or by using a wordprocessed (e.g. Word) document?

If the latter, in what format was the file (.doc or .rtf or .txt).

If the former (i.e. a Word document) had it been formatted using Word styles?

If the text came from somewhere other than being typed into the PM document, how did it get into the PM doc? e.g. file>place, copy>paste, insert>object?

Have you used PM styles to format your text?
