Random backgrounds

Does anyone know if they is any software out there that can generate a background randomly or by changing parameters?

Any help would be real good!

What kind of background? Website, desktop, something else???

What I was looking for was some sort of software that can generate a random set of pictures, say squares or circles with different lighting effects and colours that I can then edit into a background picture with PS7. LeBodge.
