Hello I was curious if this was an ok condition for a server or does it mean it is overloaded?

Type Percent Capacity Free Used Size
Physical Memory 99% 24.06 MB 1.95 GB 1.97 GB
Disk Swap 45% 281.98 MB 227.85 MB 509.84 MB

as you can see the server is usually running at 94-99% ram usage. and usually only has 10-114mb free ram mostly it ranges from 10mb to 24mb and that is all.

I have noticed that things dont seem as fast as when the server only is using 54% of its resources.

You can actually see the specs here Steve

You will hardly ever see any free memory on a Unix computer. Unix is very effecient and uses available memory and buffers and cache.

How much paging space (swap) is used doesn't matter only is it is actually paging. Does vmstat show any paging activity??
