RAM Question

Hello Everyone,

Just had a question regarding RAM. I have a Engineering Computer with an Intel Xeon Dual Processor 3.2GHz w/ 2GB of RAM. I just recently put 2GB more in the machine, the only problem is that when I go to the System Properties it is only registering 3GB. I went into the BIOS and it recognized the RAM as 4GB but it only registers 3GB in windows does anyone know why this is and could explain why this happends and if there is anyway to get windows to recognize 4GB. Also if there are any articals on this topic please post them here.
