Hello,

I have a asus p4t533-c motherboard. I had 2x256 ram and i just bought another 2x256 ram.

I have 1 gb ram in my bios and windows and directX said i have 1 gb.

I run other programs like 3d marks 2003, Sandra 2004 and cpu-z and they told me i have only 2x256.

Anything i can check again to be sure my ram is ok? Or if my bios and windows say i have 1gb then everything should be ok?

Pull one (or more) of the sticks and test again?

Andy.

Hola,

you could also try to run either AIDA32 or Memtest86 to check your RAM...

but general rule of thumb, if BIOS recognizes 1 GB and Windows does the same, then Most Likely you have 1 GB... this doesn't mean that the RAM is good though... and you should run a MEMTEST on it, like the ones listed above, and or MS own or a LINUX Ramtest (if available to you)...
