My Acer laptop is less than a year old and I recently started having boot problems with it, so I tried to do a system recovery but NO GO so I tried a
system repair with a Windows CD, but it would just get STUCK at
"Setup Is Starting Windows" so I began to do some hardware diagnostic tests to see if all was copesettic with my laptop. Well, I tested my memory with a couple different RAM testers like "Memtest86 v1.70" and both modules came up with errors no matter if i had 1 stick or both sticks in the laptop!
So i decided to try a different stick of memory I know was compatible and low and behold it to came up with errors! WTF!! Why is the computer giving me errors with any and every memory module I put in it????????!!
Is the motherboard bad or something??!!
Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks!

That's what warranties are for. There may be deeper and darker issues like a bad FSB or CPU. First get all pertinent data off the drive, either clone yours {get a 2.5" to 3.5" adapter), use a desktop PC to copy/paste your files and/or clone the 2.5" HDD using HDClone to another drive or partition:

then DBAN the resident one:

depending on your concern for personal privacy.

It stinks to not have your laptop, but you should not have to bear this burden, Acer should. Just make double-sure you have ALL your data, such as emails, contacts, saved games, etc. before sending off for repair.
