RAM in dual channel not working

I have an Intel 865GLCL board and trying to use 2 DDR3200 in dual channel mode. Have tried 256 and 512MB and they will not work. I can use DDR2700 and it works fine. Could this be a manufacturer incompatibility?

Is the PC3200 DDR fully seated?
Are the PC3200 DDR modules identical, and from the same supplier?
Is the supplier reputable, i.e., Crucial, Mushkin, or Corsair?
