Raidus auth with local fallback?

I have configured Radius authentication without a problem. But I am curious to know how I could configure my switches so that if the switch can't see the Radius server for it to fall back onto local authentication.

Any help would be appreciated.

It should be an option under your AAA commands telling it to first look for the radius server then look for either the line password or local username .

You create a list when you add the 'aaa authentication...' command. It tries to authenticate the user using the 1st option, if there is no response from the authentication server (NOT if authentication fails) then it tries the 2nd option.

aaa authentication login default group Radius-Servers local
