Hi folks,
we're trying to build a raid5 ssa array on one of our system..
The following questions came up so far:
1) How do we create a "candidate" disk for raid5 out of normal ssa disks ?
2) We'd like to use one disk for hot spare. Do we define this disk as a normal array member disk under smit and enable "use of hot spare disks" or do we have to create a separate "hot spare pool" and put the hot spare disk into that pool ? Would we also have to enable "use of hot spare disks" when defining the raid5 array using this option ?
Thanks in advance !
Regards
Thomas
