We have a NT server here that does a constant reboot once it gets to the NT blue screen showing the version and service pack.

I tried using the NT start up disk but when I insert disk #2 I get this error...

STOP: c0000221 unkown hard error
\SystemRoot\system32\ntdll.dll

I searched for this error at the MS Knowledge base and it said to reinstall the OS or copy over the "\systemroot\system32\ntdll.dll" file.

Well I copied that file from the NT cd-rom but it still doesn't work.

I would like to know if I re-install the OS will I loose all of my data on the D partition?

Here is how it is setup:

NT4 sp6
C drive 2gigs fat
d drive 15gigs ntfs

I notice in your subject you have RAID5 is that correct.

If not then re-install should not kill drive d:
If it is then providing you dont initialise the containers or delete the RAID settings then you should not lose the data.
If you mess with the raid then the data will probably get lost, but you have a backup don't you #-)

[blue]Arguably the best cat skinner around ! [/blue]

Cheers
Scott
