I'm reading on RAID10 and it reads that RAID 10 is just a combination of striping (RAID0) and mirroring (RAID1). I was told that I needed 6 disks to simulate RAID10. Why is that? Or is this person wrong?

Thanks!

you should be able to make 4 disks into RAID 10
I tried to remain child-like, all I acheived was childish.

I was thinking that if 3 disks were required for a RAID10 configuration, then it would really be a RAID53 configuration because a RAID3 configuration requires three disks for parity (but since DiskSuite doesn't support it; I'm not able to implement that).

Thanks.
