Question?

I was thinking about two sets of hard drives:
1) Dual Raptors (Data Performance)150 gb each
2) Dual Seagates (Data Security)500 gb each

Is it possible to configure two different raid arrays to us this type of configurations?

I am relatively new to this and am exploring options. Mobo is an Asus Striker Extreme.

It depends on the RAID controller but yes, it's possible. You'd have to check your mobo manual to see whether a) it supports two RAID arrays and b) whether it allows the two arrays to be different types. If the answer to either of those questions is "no" you'll have to invest in a separate RAID card for one (or both) arrays.

Appreciate the info. The mobo will support two separate arrays. So I appear to be good to go on this one.
