I recently inherited responsibility for a totally undocumented server that (on boot) says the raid is degraded. The server is an Intel S3000AH motherboard. The BIOS option for SATA RAID OPROM is set to LSI. The driver is megaide.sys version 4.4.0630.2006. The raid is two Seagate Barracuda 1TB drives (apparently) in raid 1 since the size is about 1TB and the box still operates.

I need to find out which disk is failed, replace it, and rebuild the raid, but there is no RAID management software loaded on the server, and I cannot locate disks that would have come with it.

On the LSI website I can only software support for RAID cards, not for a motherboard builtin RAID.

What software should I load and where can I download it?

Help is GREATLY appreciated!

Leon
