I'm trying to install FreeBSD 7 on a new server I slapped to together. It has an intel hardware RAID controller. I have 4 500G disks that I made into 1 1000G RAID 10 volume. When installing FreeBSD, it's odd that it sees the 4 individual disks as well as the RAID array, but this is my 1st time making one, so w/e. When I go to partition the RAID volume, it complains that I'm using the wrong geometry. I've tried tweaking the cylinders, heads, sectors, but nothing makes that error go away.

Where can I find the right geometry?
Is it normal for the OS install to see the individual disks of a RAID volume?

Thanks in advance.
