Can anybody help me out with an issue on the redundant drives on a BCM400 failing.
I have had 2 sites so far that the 2nd drive failed, according to the alarm log anyway.
1/ Is there an issue with the Early raid controllers (model not handy) and/or the drives.
2/ Am I able to put in any type of 20gb drive or does it have to MATCH EXACTLY the primary drive?
I ahve been told that it must match, I would have thought that defeats the purpose of raid but there u go :(.

thanx in advance
Lifer

But, it worked in the lab!!

I have had the RAID cards go bad on 3 BCM's, so I just make them single drives. When they go bad, they mess up the whole BCM.
