I've just aquired a Compaq 3200 PCI SMART RAID controller.

Is it possible to install this card in a Dell poweredge 2600 server as its a good card and i'd like to use it rather than buy a new one.

Are there issues with the fact it might need proprietary software to work properly or is it just a rebadged Adaptec card?

It should work without any problem.
I don't remember how many different raid controllers Dell use, but it's a lot.
