I'm trying to configure a Proliant DL5500 with a SmartArray 3200 Controller. Are there any DOS Tools available for this??
I don't want to use the SmartStart mechanism.

Thanks

Why don't you want to use SmartStart? I doubt there will be any tools available that work in DOS?

I agree with TheLad that using SmartStart is best course of action 99 times out of a 100 with ProLiant.

However I think I do remember seeing a bootable ACU at some point. Don't see it currently on their website but if you dig around they will probably still have it on their FTP site somewhere.

ftp://ftp.compaq.com/pub/softpaq/

If you've already got something on the server though you could boot with SmartStart then run the ACU from there?

Thanks for the information or suggestions or thinkings so far ;)

Well after a half day searching I found following Tools:

HP SmartStart Scripting Toolkit DOS Edition.

There are two utilities for my problem:

cpqdisk.exe (only to create first partition not more than 4 GB)

cpqfmt.exe (formatting partition)

Doesn't really help you with setting up the RAID though.

that's true

but, there's seems to be a tool named acr.exe with which I can backup and restore a existing raid-configuration (similar to ipssend.exe for IBM RAID-Controllers)
