RAID Config Problems with ACU/SmartStart Options.

I'm trying to configure a RAID array with the drives in a 6400R. My normal course of action would be to use the ACU (Array Configuration Utility) right off of the CD configure the array and then go ahead and install the OS.

If I boot to the system partition, I get an option to use the ACU, then it prompts me to insert an ACU floppy which it tries to boot the ACU from. If I leave the SmartStart CD in the drive and boot from that there is no ACU option available to me.

I am aware that since ver 2.xx of the ACU it is no longer installed on the system partition, but why is it asking for a floppy and why can't I run the ACU directly from the SmartStart CD?

I'm using release 5.10 of the SmartStart Set. I have a matched pair of New 18.2GB Compaq Drives

Cheers

Hmmm, since v4.9 I've installed been able to install a RAID system w/o having to start ACU manually. I've simply allowed SmartStart to erase, then after restarting, automatically start the GUI version of the ACU, and have never had to enter a floppy (except for the Profile disk that should have been requested at the begining of the SS procedure) ?

Sorry...did I understand correctly?
