I Have a WinNT4SP6 P3 Server
The problem I have is the Spare drive in Raid 5 Array on Adaptec 1000 Raid adapter died. Replaced drive with Exact Seagate Drive, when I go to Adaptec CIO Management Configuration, I select the new drive that is marked as single as it is supposed to be, then click on create spare, I then recieve error message "This operation is not valid at this time, becasue the drive[bus 1, Channel a, SCSI ID 5] is known to the O/S. Again the new spare drive is exactly the same as the old spare drive which died. Any Ideas would be appreciated...Thanks
