I may never need it, but am considering trying to find the time to build a system running OpenMediaVault using some old hardware I have at home.
My thought is this: If I end up setting up something like a RAID 5 Array, and OpenMediaVault runs on Debian (from what I read), and the RAID 5 Array fails because the motherboard goes haywire or the Linux OS somehow gets damaged/corrupted along the way, how possible is it for me to straight recover the data off the RAID 5 disks without fixing the Linux OS issues?
If this gets to be a complicated question/answer, don't bother. For the moment, it's just theory, b/c it's inevitable that things eventually break.
"But thanks be to God, which giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ." 1 Corinthians 15:57
