Hi everyone,
I have 5 x 36.4Gb disks setup as raid 5 in CACUtility
they have previously been setup as 5 logical drives as follows:
1) 8,191GB (Windows 2000 installed)
2)32,767GB
3)32,767GB
4)32,767GB
5)32,432GB
Each of the above logical drives has been given a partition of equal size in windows 2000 disk manager.
QUESTION - I would like to take drives 3,4,5 and create one 90+GB logical drive.
Proposed plan -
1)delete partitions 3,4,5 in windows 2000 & reboot
2)delete logical drives 4,5 in the CACUtility
3)Extend logical drive 3 with the remaiding space in the CACUtility
4)reboot and create a new windows partition of 90+GB on the 1 logical disk in device manager
5)restore data to new 90GB partition
Any thoughts / suggestions how this could be done in a better way? Will Windows 2000 spit the dummy at this? thanks
