RAID 10 vs. 0+1?

Hi,
I've been staring at the descriptions for RAID 10 & RAID 0+1 for a while now and I see any real differences between them other than being mirror images of one another.

For the disadvantages of RAID 0+1 it says:

RAID 0+1 is NOT to be confused with RAID 10. A single drive failure will cause the whole array to become, in essence, a RAID Level 0 array

But isn't the same true for RAID 10, except instead of becoming a RAID 0 it becomes a RAID 1?

Which do you think would be best for a VMWare server box running multiple VMWare images?

If you in the crowd which like raid 0's failure rate, raid 01 is your boat. The difference between r01 and r10 performance is minuscule

Not in essence, it is a raid 0... it starts off as two stripes mirrored, lose one drive, you lose one stripe. With a complete stripe left, the next failure is a complete loss.

Raid 10 can possibly lose 50% of the drives in an array and still survive. Odds are you will not be that lucky, but raid 10 needs to have two drives of the same mirror set die before the array fails. The more drives in the array the better the chances of survival of multiple disk failures.

Yes if you lose a drive you have one complete mirror left, but the other defunct mirror (with a drive missing) could supply data if one drives in the remaining mirror loses a drive.
