I have a Compaq ML370 Server with RAID Controller 5i.
It currently has only 2x9.1GB disks in a RAID 1.

I have recently purchased 2x36GB disks, and wish to replace the 2 9GB disks with the 2x36GB disks.

What is the easiest way to transfer the data to the second set of disks?

My OS is W2K Server SP3.

Thanks.

There's a good thread on the Compaq Servers Forum describing how to replace disks with larger ones on a Smart Array Controller (without losing data):
thread484-414706

not sure about the 2000 side but i know on netware all i would do is pop first one out then replace it

wait until it's rebuild then replace other one and then you will see the space
