You would get an error message if there was a problem with the raid set. Can you boot into the raid configuration and check for tools there? sometimes there are some diags listed. You can also run the manufacturers diagnostics on the drive.
Yeah, usually there is a utility where you press CNTRL something and get into a utility as the PC is booting to see the array and its status AND/OR there is a utility that you can install in Windows that will monitor the RAID utility and start to cry out when there is an issue.
