Hi,

We currently have three Proliant DL360G3 servers with one 18Gb 10k rpm harddisk. We want to add an additional harddisk so we can create a RAID-1 mirror. We have three spare 15k rpm disks so I would like to add these. Is it possible to add a 15k rpm harddisk to the existing 10k rpm setup and create a RAID-1 mirror using these different disks?

Both disks, on their own, are correct parts for this type of Proliant server...

Thanks!

Jeffrey

Yep, but the 15K disk will only perform at 10K.

If it doesn't leak oil it must be empty!!

That's perfectly acceptable...
Thank you!
