I just bought (2) 200GB disks for my personal PC. I want to do the following:

Disk 1:
Partition 1: 150GB
Partition 2: 50GB Partition

Disk 2:
Partition 1: 150GB Partition
Partition 2: 50GB Partition

RAID 1:
Disk 1: Partition 1
Disk 2: Partition 1

RAID 0:
Disk 1: Partition 2
Disk 2: Partition 2

Technically speaking, will there be any problems with running different RAID types between different partitions on two disks? Or should I just do one or the other?

Thanks for any tips, comments, or advice

If you can find a copy of the November Maximum PC magazine, there's an article on doing just that. It's called Matrix RAID, and it says "Intel's new RAID controller lets you run two different arrays using just two drives." Your motherboard needs to be a new Intel LGA775 board with the 915 or 925 chipset and the Intel ICH6R south bridge.
