Hello to all. This is my first post here and I will let you know up front I am a w2k rookie but a quick learner. My situation: I am setting up a wireless Internet service to an island which is without an infrastructure suitable for wide spread DSL or ISDN. Therefore I have a T1 line coming into a central location, attached to a Cisco 2620, and will be connected via ethernet to w2k server computer. The wireless radio will be connected to the computer via wired or wireless connection. The radio is an AS 2000 Orinoco (LUCENT) 802.11b. In the setup, it calls for the clients to be authenticated via some type of RADIUS application prior to access to the gateway. FYI: I will not be hosting web sites or email on this system. It sole purpose is for RADIUS AAA.

Now for the questions:

Is w2k server suitable for such a setup considering there may be upwards of 200 client units?

Is there a web site you would recommend I view for setting up the proper config. instead of asking a million questions here.

In the radio config., the DNS, Gateway, ect. info. can be installed. I expect this should be pointed toward the server and not the Cisco router.

Any words of wisdom are sincerely appreciated,
Eric
