If I have 2 radio buttons on a page
- both values are the same (the ID of a line in a database), and both have to be named the same so that they work properly as radio buttons, so how do I know which one is checked when i submit and get to the next page ?? (both have same name and value )

Thanx.
Andy

If all their values, ID's, etc. are the same, what difference does it make if they choose one or the other?

they are for 2 different things, one is decline and one is approve - the values are the same but when i get to the next page i will take the ID and either approve or decline the "order".

must be radio buttons - with checkbox the user could check them both.

Nope, sorry - I still don't get it. If everything about those two radio buttons is the same then you'll get the same information whichever they choose.

yes I will get the same information, but i need to know what to do with it. If it were 2 checkbox's i could name the one "approve" and the other "decline". both would have the same value, but i get to the next page i would know if i must approve or decline.

Unfortunatly with radio buttons they both have to be named the same. this is my problem, not the fact that both have the same value.

Why not use the order ID (or whatever it is) as the name for the radio set and set the values to "approve" and "decline"?

Instead of a radio selector (Approve|Disapprove) I suppose you could remove the [Enter] button entirely and make [Approve] [Disapprove] into buttons.

It depends on where in your form they reside, of course...
