Does anyone know of where I can get some information for programming a new Superset200 on a Radicall? I can'tfind any resources.

Thanks
Mike

Hi Mike,
Maybe I'm nuts (don't answer that) but I've never heard of a Superset 200.
Radicall is over 12 years old I think so no wonder there isn't a lot of info available. We never installed any...

Refresh my memory, was Radicall that Centrex Emulation thing-a-ma-bob that looked like the Spine Node.

If so, good luck. That thing has been out of date for quite some time.

There are some pack rats in this forum but that product barely saw the light of day.

There is a FAQ for good manual sites but i've already checked and it ain't there.

Any phone should be able to be programmed from form 9. The spine is the thing-a-ma-bob referenced earlier. Most of the spines were programmed as node 4 or 5 some smaller installs may be 3. I installed a couple of them but no longer have documentation. Sorry

NYTalkin,

I'm pretty sure the Radicall looked like a spine but it did not connect to the PBX. It allowed 420 sets to act like Centrex. the Centrex Lines connected directly to the unit.

The programming was unique to the box. No form 9 in other words.

The only time I saw these was for a site with a 2K. Someone else was responsible for programming them unfortunately.

I think the Radicall required some specific software as well.
Probably no way to get it now. Looked on MOL, nothing...

My recollector must be faulty but I remember putting t hem as remotes on 200 MLs using Centrex ties. Have I finally lost it?

Nytalkin, you may have been working with actual Spines connected via fibre. Spine nodes were very similar and had modules for analog trunks. Call control for Spines was thru the controller.

Radicall was self contained and did not require anything else.

If the worst you've done is forget an obsolete product that barely saw the light of day, I wouldn't describe that as "losing it"

Radicall was designed to work with analogue centrex lines. The system recognised key presses on Mitel SS410 and SS420 digital sets and converted them into sequences of DTMF digits that the centrex exchange would understand and act on

I found this description on another site. Refreshes the memory for me and yes it was shortlived thank God and Sir Terrance.

I;ve only come across three of these ever but I've been approached to do some work on one with no opportunity to upgrade. The client has no desire to buy a new phone system at this point whatsoever.
Thanks all!!

Mike
