Hello POS Gurus. I'm not really sure what to do about this one since I'm not sure if it has a simple remedy. We recently bought two Radiant POS terminals Model P15XX. Technically one is 1510 and the other 1520. At any rate, the staff is reporting that they lose their calibration very very very quickly. It's never consistent, but it does not seem to last longer than one day. They've reported the calibration being lost after calibrating in as short as 10 minutes all the way up to a full 24 hours.
In the 1520 model there is an icon labeled P15xx Configuration and Settings which provides the following information:
P15xx Driver Version: 3.3.0.4
Mfg Date 12/31/1987
Board Rev: F
Board Mod: 3
FW Boot Rev: 4
FW AppRev: 25
Model: 1520
Unit Ser Num: 6958
Board Asm: 11203
Bios FW#: FW00130
Bios Version: 1.0.06
OCD FW: <unknown>
and it has a calibration program which does not respond when you launch it.

To calibrate we've tried using the Touchware calibration program from the following path:
C:\Windows\system32\control.exe mtstouch.cpl which tells me it launches from the control panel. The calibration launches and seems to process the touches as intended, but then the calibration is quickly lost as described above.

In the control panel I also see a different icon labeled "ICD Hardware Settings" which has a calibration program as well but errors when launched. The error says, "Error: screen may be unplugged, or without a space on the virtual screen" (The calibration screen says for resistive touchscreens only). There is also another icon which is labeled "Trueprint Sensor Properties". I'm not sure what it does. Regardless, I can't figure out what to do to get the calibration to start behaving correctly. Any and all suggestions would be VERY VERY welcomed! This is causing many mistakes when ordering food and drink through out the day.

Oh, one other quick detail... There is an option under the touchware program which lets me choose which touch mode to toggle. It has Desktop, Drawing and Custom. I had it on Desktop by default which is described as "Position, pause, then click on touch" which may be causing not only the calibration but the weird issue of zeroing out tips when they are being entered. I switched it to Drawing, which is described as "Click on Touch". If that solves these issues I will update my post.

thanks!
