Radiant P1550 Serial ports don't seem to work.

I picked up a used P1550 and got it up and running from an image and everything so far has tested out working except the serial ports. I see them in the device mgr but when I try to fire a T88 off it, I have no luck. I have tested out the rj12-RJ45 adapter and cat5 cable plus a db25 adapter on the printer with another Radiant terminal and it works fine. Is there something specific with the P1550 that is different than say a P1520 or P1510 when it comes to the serial ports? Any help or direction would be good. Thanks,
