We have several P1515 terminals with 4GB Udoc drives running XP Embedded and would like to upgrade them to Win7 Embedded but need to install larger storage/hard drives. I see the Udoc interface and SATA interface but I believe we need a special cable to connect a SATA drive but not sure what cable we need.

There was a reference to a Male to Female Adapter in this thread:
thread693-1732611
I've found some adapters online like Part# SATA22PEXT but wanted to confirm this was what we needed.

On another note, wondering if anyone has gotten Win 7 Embedded to boot and run from a usb stick?

Thanks,
J

johndoe,

i have hdd for pos 7 upgrade your 4gb udoc to 8gb udoc.

There is also a 16gig SSD upgrade available for that unit. It is small enough to just plug into the SATA interface and sit there, and runs like a dream.
