Hello all,

I just purchased 3 of these terminals (P1220 4gbHD) off eBay hoping to replace my old and damaged Posiflex... what a nightmare! I should have probably done more researched beforehand.

On the first one I was able to install my Aldelo software and it works ok... couldnt make the 2x20 display work nor register open command, and the installation of my Epson T20II USB was another nightmare.

On the second one I tried to reinstall WIN XP from USB and, of course, installation crashed and now it just doesnt boot up! Can it be saved?

The third one is still in the box. [evil]

Is there a way to safely install a fresh OS on these terminals? If so, will they ever be customizable to be properly used along with their peripherials with anything other than ALOHA? ALDELO?

What would you guys recommend I do with them besides purchasing ALOHA? Paperweights maybe?

Thanks a lot in advance for any help!

I have a POSready2009 ghost image for the P1220.

If your first one works, why not just make an image of it, and copy to the other 2

As for getting the other devices working:
Check the device manager and make sure all devices are installed.
The P1220 is a rock solid machine with little failures. Capacitors pop but otherwise never have issues
To make the line display work, you need to have the correct Opos name in your software
to make the Epson Printers work, you need to install the Epson oposadk software, then create the OPOS printer.

Dear AlohaRoss,

Thank you for the good news!

I will look right away into ghost images... Do you have a preference between XP Embedded Standard (currently installed) and POSready2009?

Also, do you think that I should have no problems configuring the P1220´s to work flawlessly with Aldelo?

All the best,

H

From what I understand they work just fine
I prefer PosReady2009. They seem to boot about 10 seconds faster.

contact me from my website and I can send you a link download the image I use
