I tried to connect my radeon 9700 pro 128 to my tv-screen. unfortunately all i got was black & white. the connection was established with a s-vhs cable and a scart adapter.

does anyone know what i've done wrong?
thanks in advance.

You have to make sure your PC is turned off before you connect your tv to the video card. After the pc is powered down connect the tv to the video card and turn your TV on.
Then turn on your PC.

The video card should detect the tv.

Good luck.

Oh yeah, by the way,
Did you set your tv to the proper channel ?
You have to select the scart channel if you want to get an image.

thanks for your tip but thats not the problem - i should have gone into more detail ;)

i actually get a picture but no color. only black & white...

If your tv doesn't support s-vhs then you wont get any color . Try using a analog cable (yellow jack) instead. This should work.
