Radeon 9550 Freezing

I have installed a new 9550 on my winxp pro pc and every now and then my screen freezes or goes black for about 15secs then returns. This happens randomly. I have the latest drivers and does it with any program. Any ideas on how I can fix this??

Is it the board or the monitor? If the screen comes back but no program freeze, the monitor may be driven at a too high frequency. Can you change the video parameters, like a lower vsync or a lower resolution, to see if it still makes it.
