radeon 7500 help 1

installed 7500 pci i must have missed something. under my computer>device manager>display adapter, ihave the famous yellow question mark, standard pci graphics adapter(vga). what did i miss? i do have radeon 7500 under display adapter. i dont know what to do. help me out my friends. PEARL

Remove it from device manager and try again. Have the driver disk handy. If you get the same result in Device Manager, try reinstalling the drivers.

everytime i remove it and restart, the computer tries to reinstall it;standard pci graphics adapter(vga).
i have two entries under display adapter;
1.radeon 7500
2.standard pci graphics adapter(vga) ,with yellow question mark
my graphics are good but they are not working as they should. i can not remove #2 it always reinstalls and searches for drivers. im lost as usual.

Does your motherboard have onboard video?

yes it does and i thought i disabled everything.read my other thread on conflict, maybe irq? dont know .really need some help on this. thanks PEARL

Usually onboard video is supposed to be disabled when a video expansion card is added, but this doesn't always happen. If your onboard video shares your main memory, you might need to go into your bios and set the shared memory to zero. I have had cases where I just had to disable the onboard video in Device Manager. Just right click on the onboard VGA adapter and set it to disabled. You will just have to live with the red X being there.
