CICS software has a IRAD, (Internal RAD), built in. If it is not enabled, you can order keycodes to activate it, or you can connect an external RAD by connecting to a station port and program it with the corresponding SYS ID # and password that you use with NRU or Norstar Manager.

If your installing a Rad onto a CICS what I do is Connect it onto a station port, I would put it on one of the last station ports so if you can CICS 0x16 put it on if you dont have vm I would put it on port 116 it connects just like a phone. I hope this helps.

After you have the above connections made you will have to put in an initial password in order to use the RAD remotely. First wait at least one minute, then from any 73XX phone press Feature 9**, the display shows Password EXIT CHNG NEXT Press the CHNG key and then enter the new password 8-10 digits) then press OK. Now you must re-enter the password, This prevents Fat Finger Troubles.

Feature 9 * *
I hoe you did not forget the "9"
Is this a Rad or FastRad?
I do not know if some of the older Rad's are compatable with the CICS. I would think not.
You have to wait two to three minutes before entering feature 9 * * ( the manuel says one minute, but I give it three)
Hope this helps

I got bit for a couple bad RAD's on e-bay myself. Sometimes a "great deal" isn't so great after all! I would buy IRAD code from vendor or install Brand new FASTRad if it were me. Enabler code should be around 100-150 bucks and FastRAD about 175-250 depending on source.
This is not a solicitation! I do not sell FastRads or Codes! Just trying to help a Telcom Brother!

since you sound like you are giving up on the rad why don't you try this since it couldn't hurt you from where you are now. Open up the RAD and short out the battery (wafer battery) for 60 sec's. This will dump any password or other programming that the rad may have and it should be lookin like an unused device. JerryReeve

I change to IRAD ,i change password using 7310 and i call access number press F817 and i RAD pick up and i have massage on the computer that my password is wrong,
Look at programming under passwords, the IRAD password is listed there. it defaults to be your system serial number. You will have to use the show button to look at it and be careful to read it correctly. the system SN is also visible under sosftware keys in programming. JerryReeve

When you go to a 73xx connected to the system and type
F**266344 + password
scroll through till you get to password>show>scroll through till you get to IRAD>change.
you can't change your password.
I know if you are going in under the Admin password and not the installer you can't access the IRAD password.
