I connected an ERAD to a MICS 3.0 some time ago and have been able to use it since. Although today for no reason when i dialled in, the 7310 terminal was displayed but the screen was blank. Whenever i try to type anything it just remains the same. I've tried other sites and theres work, leaving an establishment by process of elimination that it cant be my software.
Does anyone know anything about this? I'm wondering if i need to reset the ERAD?

Check the baud rate.
MICS 3.0 would support Norstar Remote Utilities (NRU) 6 or below.
What level of NRU are you working with?

I know that the E-RAD works a bit different than the RAD we use in the US, but is there a chance someone is already in programming locally. I think your Baud rate is fine or you would not have gotten that far. Are you using an external modem so that you can observe the RD SD lights?

Well i have 9.1 and 10.0 and neither work now although they always did. I'm not sure i know what you mean Marv....RD SD lights? Theres a green light on the top which i thought only showed you that it was recieving the correct power??

I was referring to the lights on an external modem on your end. I have the best luck using an external modem because the lights give very good clues as to what is happening. Once you make a connection, the RD and SD lights should continue to flicker at a fairly quick rate. If you are connecting via a line with questionable data, or a bit noisy, the flicker will slow way down and sometimes stop intermittently. Will make the hair on the back of your neck stand up when you are on a connection and see the lights slow down or stop. I think you are connecting ok, but taking forever to get the first screen. What happens if you just wait for a period of time after you make the connection?

Marv, thanks for your help mate. I've figured it out though...it was just one of those things you do at the end of a job when your tired and want to go home! Quite imbarresing actualy but definately one to remember. The reason was that i had disabled the port, makes sense really! I'll bare that external modem tip in mind though, thats what i usually do when programming the Meridian 1's. Thanks again.
