I´v a big problem with rad messeges. COS i correct and the voicemail port that I use for my rad ex 615 has a rad setup on in it. but if a make a call to this rad port 615 nothing is played for me, the only way i can get the rad message to play is to put this rad as a member of a huntgroup and then call the huntgroup nr and then it plays my rad message.

what may be wrong, any tip?

Regards UO

if you are using a 3300 with Embedded mail you are supposed to use hunt groups(even if only 1 port). Not using hunt groups can cause port lockup issues.

TSB# 05-5191-00047

Description/Symptoms
Embedded RAD does not answer ( ring no answer) or in Do NOT Disturb (DND)

Body/Solutions
If a incoming call is blind-transfered to an Embedded RAD, the embedded RAD will experience "ring no answer" and/or "Do Not Disturb" conditions.

Solution:
1. Make sure that embedded RAD port is in a RAD Hunt group
2. Program the phase timer of RAD hunt group to be 1s or higher
3. Make sure the all calls are transferred to the RAD Hunt group and no one should call directly to RAD port

Regards U

That is what they are for. I take you are having problems programming it?

Did you designate the hunt group as a RAD group?

Keep asking about this rad things.

I have been trying to get a que message in one of my hunt groups. but this did not work and then i tryed above tips to use a hunt group and put this hunt gruop as RAD message, in this case when i call the hunt group it do not play my message. I looked in the help file and find this text in the help area of hunt groups.

heading: first rad:

Enter the directory number of the RAD containing the first message to be given to callers when members of the hunt group are busy, in Do Not Disturb or when they fail to answer the call. A timer, defined in the Class of Service Options Assignment form, determines how long the caller listens to ringback while waiting for the first message

according to the help text I will be able to put my directory nr of the rad port i would like to use, but this dont work? I have done like in the help text in other pbx, i also have been able to call directly to the rad port to listen to my rad message. so long text... but how do i manage to fix a que message for my hunt group...

Regards U
