Hi All,

My thanks in advance.

We have built a system using Linux Redhat Enterprise sever edition with 4 nodes and a SAN (which uses OCFS) and using Oracle 9i (release 2). The datafiles, redo logs, control files and archive logs for all the nodes are going to be stored on the SAN. My question is:

1. Has anyone got any experence of backing up using this(via rman)? (from all the guides I have read they talk about having the redo logs and archive logs for each node on each node, our plan is to use the SAN).

2 Are there any guides out there that anyone can recomend? I have found a few guides on metalink and via the net, but any suggestions would be most welcome.

Thanks again for reading,

B14.... :)

Hi Guys,

A bit more researching on my part (on metalink and signing up for something else) has revealved a good article. Tis one of the metalink books (online), but its quite useful.

Any other resources that any one comes up with would be good though,

Thanks again in advance,

B14 ;)
