rac and archiving question

Hi

We have a 4 node RAC. Our question is that if 1 node fails to archive will this hang all the other nodes.

For example, one node is half way through writing to remote file system (on standby) and if that standby has a power failure while it is trying to archive this log will this hold up all the other nodes?

Its just we think we have seen this happen on one of our rac instances.
