Hi,

I have a lot of rAAA*.chg files in my database folder, each about 2MB. What are they and is it safe to delete them??

Thanks for any help,
D

You are only supposed to have 3 files beginning with r in your database folder. These are RAAAAAAA.chg, RDM.CHI, and RDM.CHK. If you have others these could be a sign of database corruption. However, if you're not getting any problems it's probably best to leave them there. You can find more info at

Hi,
Over time you can have a lot of these files. But it is save to remove all of them r* from from \arcserve\database directory. You have to stop database engine first. When database engine starts all three needed files will be recreated.
It works for me.
