I know the 6408 and 6416 digital phones aren't supported in R9
Will they work in a R9 IP office system ?
Custome want to upgrade from R3.2 to R9 but want to keep these digital sets.

I have heard from previous threads on here that they will indeed work but not supported.

acss sme acis sme acss cm 5.2.1 acss cm and cmm acss aura messaging.

They will work but not supported if there is a problem with it. I already found couple issues with it. Mainly if you add a button module to the phone, the lights will not work (PoE brick did not help) BUT the buttons still work.

We just pulled out and bought a customer 60 newer phones because we took this risk… I would not. There are two concerns:
1. Power
2. Timing

It does not take much to test phones and Avaya is known to try and keep legacy phones in play, so I think there is a reason they were removed from support. Keep in mind 7.0 is the latest supported release.
