I have been hunting for an answer on this one but coming up with nothing. With CCR now dead in R9.1 and IPOCC supposedly taking its place, what does the wallboard actually look like in IPOCC (or is there one)? I only see vague references to it in the documentation I have seen so far. Anyone have it running? If so, can I pick your brain? I'm migrating to Xima, but with my budget I'll have to either live at R9.0 and CCR for a while, or live with IPOCC for a while as I try to migrate to Xima over the next 18+ months...

Find someone who is excited to implement IPOCC and documented wallboards before you willingly install it.

Dulce et decorum pro Avaya mori

I didn't think such a person existed? I'll settle for someone who has seen it work for a short while...

Why postpone the inevitable?
The Xima install will be completed in less than 60 minutes, even if performed by a novice. No reboot, no BS, no pain.

And if you, against all odds, run into any issues, there's a fabulous team standing by to help you.

Kind regards

Gunnar

IPOCC is far more expensive than XIMA or Datel unless I'm missing something.

Well as I said I know that Chronicall is my future and I have already started moving in that direction, the issue is I don't have the budget to move all the CCR sites to Chronicall in 2015.

So as I said I need to choose either staying with R9 and CCR, or move to R9.1 and do the upgrade to IPOCC and live with that for a while. It is my understanding that the move from CCR to IPOCC will be less expensive than replacing everything with Chronicall. Someone correct me if I'm wrong on that, but from what I have read we won't know about the CCR to IPOCC upgrade path until April 2015? So in the mean time I'm wondering what IPOCC looks like when it comes to wallboards.

We've been slowly getting IPOCC installed at a site or two.
It is the biggest piece of garbage I've ever seen. You can't even fumble your way through it!

Worst thing is that Avaya won't let us have a demo license for our demo kit; we had to outright pay for it just to learn to use it. There is a very specific reason for this, as well ( I won't get into it), but it still sucks.

Call Xima, explain your situation, maybe they can work something out for you?
(And if I'm not mistanken, they have read your post already, expecting your call)

Going IPOCC will kill your budget in config and maint. hours, it's a waste of time and money.

Kind regards

Gunnar

I am pretty sure that a migration to IPOCC will be more expensive then going for Xima at all sites.

BAZINGA!

I'm not insane, my mother had me tested!

AACON, contact your disty, there is a way to get demo licenses for IPOCC.
There is a demo doc that lists out the people that can get them for you.

If I recall correctly the CCC to CCR move wasn't all that expensive. Are folks hearing that the CCR -> IPOCC move will be that much different than that? The config and maintenance costs aren't an issue because that's all in house and overhead gets buried elsewhere, so as stupid as it may be, Xima Chronicall is still more expensive as an initial purchase. If the CCR -> IPOCC upgrade is more than $2,000 per site, I'll just have to stay on R9 with CCR and purchase a Xima Realtime Agent license or two every month for for the next 18 months.

Again, just call Xima and have them work out something for you. If you can bury IPOCC cost in other departments, I'm sure you could do the same with Xima... Just do it legal:)... Split the bill, or something.

Kind regards

Gunnar

It's all theoretical until April when Avaya releases pricing, unless anyone has heard something?
