R8.0 - Network Error 1

I'm fairly new to the IP Office so I'm hoping one of the old schoolers might be able to help me out with this one...

I have an IP500v2 with R8.0 (66) installed on it but every time I try and open the configuration with Manager (same release) it give me a 'Network Error - Failed to communicate with IP Office.' message, despite me being able to ping the IPO and select it from the list in Manager.

I installed a newer version of Manager on my PC and that is able to open the configuration without any problems at all.

Does anyone happen to know if this was a known problem with R8.0 and whether there is/was a fix for it?

Had this on a bunch of 8.1 sites. Local 8.1 manager on their network would work but the same manager on my laptop wouldn't, either remotely or on site.

Never found a fix as it went away when i upgraded my manager to 9
