R8.0 9508 CID not showing

Hiya folks,

Put my first R8.0(43) system (key mode) in yesterday and also my first batch of 9508 system phones, using two combo cards.

On my R7 installs with the 1400 series phones, caller ID works as expected, CID information is displayed on ringing phones. On the R8 with 9508, inbound calls only show "EXTERNAL" adjacent to the line button and there is no CID infor anywhere on the display. Am I missing something obvious? I had very little time on site with the system (emergency raplacement of failed ACS 7.0) and the customer is happy, but I am perplexed.

Try impedence matching the lines. If that doesn't do it, try setting the gains to -.5 for each line.
 
You could also try going into System->Telephony->Tones & Music and changing the CLI type. If you are in the US, it should be set to FSK BELL 202.

Sorry, I just realized you are in Partner/Basic mode. Unfortunately, they don't have the CLI type option in that mode. Make sure Trunk Type is Loop Start ICLID, and you could try putting a check under Long CLI Line.

I may be imagining things, but I could swear the CID information was available in the call logs, just not on the main screen when the incoming call rings. I have to be back at the site today or monday and will check. Can anybody confirm that the 9508 will show CID information for th incoming calls on the main screen? I don't even see where it would show up, as there is no room in the button area and the top three lines show the time, date, menu level, etc. Screenshot of an inbound call with CID anybody?
 
It'll show it where the name normally appears. It replaces the name with the caller id telephone number. If available, below that line and above the a=/line 1 line will appear the name of the caller.
