Hey guys,
I am working on a typically easy situation. First, the AA would answer and the ext. vm coverage would not. Other flakey things were also occuring. Now I have done a factory default and reprogrammed the system. The AA now will answer correctly, if an ext. is called directly, it gets the right mbx, but if you transfer from the AA to an ext, it says "transfering call" and dumps to the call answer service operator. I have done a print all and have been over it. I am at a loss as to what could cause this.
Thanks in advance.

Make sure you have set the Maximum Digit Length to be the same as your extensions.

Under 9997 Admin, 1, & then 8.

I fixed one like that yesterday!

That was one of the first things I tried. Thanks for the try. I wish it was just that.

The collective knowledge of all you guys is extremely impressive. If this is stumping you all, I don't feel bad that I am at a loss.

Yes, I have checked the selector codes.
The incoming call is ringing 791, overflowing to 770 on a 18 second timed setting. The vm is answering with the "transfering call" and the AA doesn't answer. If I have the customer transfer to 770. I can get into the admin and with a *8 (*t for transfer) can dial the 791 (which is set to class of service 15) and it does route to the AA. At that point I dial the ext. no. and it goes to the ext. and vm covers fine. I guess I didn't really give enough info earlier. Hopefully this helps.
thanks again.

Sounds like you may have things reversed. Is 770 the VM calling group with all the voice mail ports? If so 770 should be set to overflow to (overflow) calling group 791 (which should have no members - with delay set as you have it set). 791 should also be set up as a mailbox in vm with class of service 15.

Problem solved...rrr...worked around!!! I set vm ports 1 and 2 to AA answer and 3 and 4 to vm answer in the vm unit under system admin. Had the lines overflow the the AA ports and the coverage to the vm ports. All works and the customer is happy. I don't understand why I had to do this. It seems like something that would have had to be done on one of the old merlin mails that mounted on the wall seperately, but not in the 007MLM, as this is. I'll chaulk it up as a release thing. I really am not sure. Thanks for the feedback guys.

Actually, the 007 is a MerMail R 3.0 with few, if any enancements, storage mostly.

TD may have more ideas.
