I have 2 customers that have both the same problem. I have been doing these for years and don't get what is up. All day, the customer says everything is fine. When they come in in the morning, the lines are busy/on hold ringing the console and the vm is busy/won't answer. A reboot fixes the problem. I have tried ls disc. on and off. I have tried taking the rotary enable off the vm ports. Any Ideas.

Thanks

I had a customer with the same problem and and it turned out each night the carrier was sending a test to each line at 2 in the morning. The lines are connected to system as pots lines but delivered to customer on T1. So they were testing each channel of T1 and the same thing was happening each morning.

Hope this helps

Check to see if the customer is truly receiving the open loop disconnect from the telco when a caller drops while on hold.

Is it possible that the telco changed the customer to "pair gain" without telling anyone? I had a customer near a new developement, that all of a sudden had the same problem (but on an InterTel). Telco changed them to pair gain to get service to the new complex, had newer cards that didn't pass the open loop. They scrounged around for older release cards and changed them out, then all was OK.

p.s., rotary enable is not necessary for an 007MLM, just for Merlin Messaging.
