R7 Restore from R3.1 1

Is there any way to restore a file on a flash card from a Legend R3.1 to a Legend R7? I had a processor die and we replaced it with a R7 but when it goes to restore it says the system programming port must be to continue. When i do an inspect on the file it has the system programming port as just a blank and shows the file is a 3.1

You must start with an R3.1 processor.

Then you can load the FLASH CARD into it.

Once you get that done, you have to do a BACKUP to your Laptop/PC and then convert that to the R7.

Then restore the CONVERTED FILE to the R7.

that's what i figured. we actually were lucky enough that someone had a file backup from the old processor. Thanks for the response.
