New Paqrtner R7 system. 5 boards: 1) 206ec (extension 19-24), 2) 206ec (extenstions 25-30), 3) acs (extensions 10-18), 4)012e (extensions 31-42), 5) Partner messaging.

I don't have voice mail configured. Just wanted to do the R1 - R7 upgrade and give them what they had.

When an outside call comes in on the main number, it rings the appropriate extentsions.

When an outside call comes in on the fax number, the fax extension (42) rings once then we hear the "your call is being transferred" message, then extension 10 rings.

Then, when an outside call comes in on the main number, you immediately get the "your call is being transferred" and extension 10 rings.

When we pull out the message card (slot 10) everything works.

This is how I will leave it right now, but in the next few weeks I would like to get messaging to work.

Any suggestions?

Dennis

Start by putting Ext. 43 through the number of voice mail ports in Hunt Group 7 - #505-7-XX-1. That will stop the "transferring to Operator" intercept.

When you get that message that means that your voicemail is getting calls and integration that it doesn't understand. Set up your voicemail ports, use centralized programming to route your fax line properly, than use #206, #506, #507, and #503 for your night button to control the amount of rings before your voicemail picks up. When you do a voicemail make sure that you do these programs.

#206 Group 7 Line XX 1(assign) - gives the AA permission to answer
#506 + #507 tells the AA how fast and in what mode to answer in
#503 - assigns a night button
#310 - gives extensions permission to cover to VM
#105 - Set your transfer return rings high so not to ever conflict with VMS Cover rings

#306 + #304 sets your transfer return and your privacy
#101 + #103 sets your time and date

This will hopefully get you started

That would work, I would have just turned the ringing off on the mail slot extensions.
